In terms of internals, Pretenders appear to be functionally the same as Sabers, but with Assassin-esque star gen. They have standard interactions with Berserkers, and they’re fully neutral to Rulers, Avengers, and Moon Cancers, which makes them a decent option for use against Rulers specifically if you don’t have a strong Avenger ready to go.
